Ephesians 1:3 KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

 

God has richly blessed us with the gift of all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, “in Christ”.  It is a precious inheritance.  It has nothing to do with behavior or performance but we receive our inheritance because of our relationship with Jesus Christ.  Everything we have “in Christ” is a spiritual blessing and must be esteemed as such.  The following list of spiritual blessings was compiled from Ephesians 1:1-14 KJV:

 

1) Chosen. In Christ we are selected to be His very own before the foundation of the world.
2) Ordained. In Christ we are appointed to be holy and without blame. In His eyes we have an unstained innocence.
3) Adoption. In Christ the Father’s will and plan was for us to be placed as a son/daughter in the beloved.
4) Grace. In Christ, unmerited favor is the expression of God’s great love for His children. This great grace in His kindness toward us brings glory to His name.
5) Redemption. In Christ we are redeemed from sin and death. We are washed, cleansed and sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ.
6) Upgrade. In Christ, God released to us all forms of wisdom and practical understanding.
7) His will.  In Christ the hidden secret of the Father’s desire and long range plan are revealed to us.
8) Unity. In Christ, all things are reconciled, made new and brought together.
9) Sealed. In Christ, the earnest of the inheritance, the Holy Ghost, seals us. An earnest is the guarantee of a promise and a seal is proof of authenticity. 

 

We never have to worry about someone contesting His will or trying to steal our great inheritance.  Our inheritance is guaranteed in Christ.  So don’t live as a spiritual pauper but rather take advantage of the never-ending riches available in Christ Jesus.
